MILWAUKIE, Ore. — The North Clackamas Education Foundation facilitated a $75,000 donation from the City of Milwaukie to the Wichita Emergency Housing Fund that will help 100 local families.
The North Clackamas Education Foundation (NCEF) serves 17,000 students in 32 schools located in the North Clackamas School District by providing student scholarships, educator grants, food programs for families, and more. The Wichita Center for Family and Community serves as a vital hub for North Clackamas families to access critical resources, including a food pantry, clothes closet, dental care, and afterschool programming.
In December 2024, NCEF Executive Director Stephanie Rose informed Milwaukie city leaders of the Wichita Emergency Fund's urgent need for financial support. The City of Milwaukie responded by securing the necessary funds, directly addressing the growing demand for the services provided by the Emergency Housing Fund. This generous $75,000 donation will benefit an estimated 100 families in the local community.
